This month our fundraising hero is Callum Devereux!
When Callum – a first-year student at the University of Edinburgh – signed up to do the Edinburgh Marathon for Sepsis Research FEAT at the back end of last year none of us could have imagined that the event would be virtual for the second year in a row.
With the occasional assistance of some of his friends, Callum has been training hard around the streets of Edinburgh – and even, impressively, up Arthur’s Seat – and using social media to publicize his efforts.
On his, Just Giving page Callum says that after a year that saw his A-level exams canceled, exercise and being outdoors proved a great antidote to Lockdown.
‘The opportunity of…having a goal to work towards, in the form of a marathon, was too good an opportunity to turn down’.
